My band of Amigurumis

Lately I've been having a lot of fun crocheting these adorable little stuffed animals, called Amigurumis (From Wikipedia: Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. Amigurumi are typically cute animals (such as bears, rabbits, cats, dogs, etc.), but can include inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features. )
I like to make them because they're fast, they're adorable, and my nieces and nephews (and husband and brother-in-law) love to play with them - Apparently, the octopus makes a really good "ninja throwing star".
So far I've made a pig, a penguin, an elephant, an octopus, a cat, a kitten, & a frog. If you'd like to try your hand at making your own amigurumi, my favorite patterns are at the Lion Brand website -
