What a find!

When Mark and I went to "Stark County's Largest Second Hand Sale" this morning, we weren't expecting too much. And we weren't disappointed. There were lots of tables with clothes, tacky jewelry, collectibles...and other standard yard sale junk. We did find a cute picnic basket, complete with dishes and plastic cutlery, which we picked up for $10. But after that, table after table yielded nothing that we were interested in. Once we had finished looking at the last table, we meandered back to the beginning (since we had brought Mark's dad and he was still looking, we thought it might be rude to leave without him). Nothing had really caught our eyes the first time around, but suddenly, we saw THIS sitting on the floor next to one of the tables....

That's right! An old trombone case. Actually, there were TWO old trombone cases. Mark played trombone in Middle School and has regretted having given it up ever since (he didn't want to play in the marching band in High School). So when we saw the case, it naturally piqued our curiosity. Mark opened up the first case and to our delight, there was a trombone inside! In pretty good condition, even! The other case held a slightly less good condition trombone, so we decided to buy the first one. The tag said $65, but the lady let us have it for $50. What a deal! I even convinced Mark to let me take a video of him playing a song. Not bad for his first time playing in 17 years!

Now, name that tune! Think you know what song he's playing? Take our survey to the right and see what other people think! :)

Wow! Good job, Mark! How neat that you found that. And how fortunate for you, Anna, that you now get to listen to him practice. ;)
