Our New Profile

Check out new adoption profile. LDS Family Services has now started using this new website for potential birth mothers to locate adoptive families. You can also go to beta.itsaboutlove.org to see all the nice new features of the website. I think it has a much nicer feel to it and there are so many more options in how you search. You can still get to our old profile by clicking the link on the right side of this page, if you want to compare and see how much nicer the new site is. They're planning on launching a big Internet advertising campaign when they completely replace the old site with the new, so we're hoping that'll get us the traffic we need to be found by our baby's birthmother.
In related news, this month we're busy trying to get things done for the 4 year update on our homestudy.
  • We both have to have a doctor's appointment and get a medical form filled out.
  • We have to re-do our financial paperwork, since we're making more money now and the fees are based on income.
  • We have to go to the Sheriff's office to get fingerprinted again so they can run new background checks on us to make sure we haven't committed any new crimes since our last checks a little over 4 years ago.
  • And we have to get the house all nice and neat to get ready for our home visit the beginning of March. Which means cleaning the office/craft/miscellaneous stuff room *shudder*.

We were really hoping that we'd be chosen before we had to do another update, but I guess it isn't as bad as it could be. It was really about time we went to the doctor anyway... and it'll be nice to have a clean office again. Plus the electronic fingerprint scanner is pretty cool. Much nicer than using ink. Anyway, wish us luck. :) Let us know what you think of the new profile!

Mark and Anna: I love the write-up on the Adoption page, and I like the look of the new page. However -- now don't get mad -- I think you should use another photo. This one looks way to blurry. You need one that is crisper and sharper. Like the recent one of you two hugging. I love that picture!

Sorry, I can't believe I used "to" when I meant to use "too."
