Birthmother Afghan

Well, I mentioned in my last post that I was working on an afghan to give to the birthmother of our future baby. It's finished! I can't believe how quickly it went. I've always wondered how long it takes me to finish an afghan, so this time I actually timed it. :) I came in at just under 30 hours, and it took me almost 3 weeks. Of course, it was a bigger hook than I usually use (size I/9 if anyone was wondering), so that made it go faster. Anyway, I am absolutely thrilled with the way it came out. This is the finished afghan -

And here's a close-up, so you can see the detail a little better. The next project I have planned is a bunny blanket for Lance & Michelle's baby. :) Stay tuned...
